Reacquainting myself

It has been YEARS since I have posted to my blog. I'm not sure I remember how. I just have never taken to my blog or twitter as I have to Facebook and email.

This is the last day of 2016, which was an action packed year. I got a new hip in January after arthritis had eaten up my ball and socket in my right hip. I was so afraid, did not want to do it, would do tons of physical therapy before surgery, etc., anything to avoid surgery. However, if I had to do it with the left hip, I'd do it in a minute. Was such an easy surgery compared to my rotator cuff reattachment in 2007 or my emergency appendectomy in 2013. Anterior hip replacement is the only way to go. I've been back to an active life that includes riding my horse.

This photo was taken in June at Whitewater State Park, our favorite place to ridge.

In June, I got a promotion to Director of Technical Services, which is the right job for me. I love trying to untangle the problems in our catalog. I enjoy reading reviews before placing orders for books. It gives me a sense of accomplishment every time I enter a new book into the catalog.

Ok, this is probably why I don't like blogging. I am trying to get back to right alignment, and it just isn't happening. UGH! I want control over what I'm doing, and I can't seem to get it. (Found out copying, pasting, and adjusting in WORD, copying and pasting back again worked.)

I can't promise to be a consistent daily blogger because I have way too much going on for someone who is 65 going on 66. Always have a full schedule and my "fibromyalgia or something like it" drains me before I ever get going, especially in winter.

We'll see.
